Flora Sanchez

A Board member since 2009, Flora has previously served as Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary and has lead various committees. She also serves as an interpretive guide, does outreach presentations to community groups and delivers lessons to students visiting Gutiérrez Hubbell House.

Flora is a retired educator who worked as teacher, school counselor, and administrator for the Albuquerque Public Schools for 25 years. After retiring she served eight years as elected member, and three-term president, of the New Mexico State Board of Education, and contracted with a nonprofit in Minneapolis, MN for whom she provided hundreds of presentations in 48 U.S. states and in several foreign countries on four continents.
